With Christmas coming up and the planning stage of the Ashes 2008 starting to take place, we thought it would be a good idea to issue an update to give you full details of all the remaining training weekends, warm-up matches and the Ashes series.

May I remind you that you must attend at least two of these training weekends to be considered for the National squad for the Ashes 2008. You are also reminded that for all the training weekends, players are to wear the current official ECAD kit or for other players, your whites, previous ECAD gear or training gear.
Please contact Lucy Riding on secretaryecad@hotmail.co.uk to confirm attendance no later than 5th January 2008. Please state if you require a hotel room and you must send a cheque to me for £10 per night urgently. Please note our “no cheque, no room” policy! Cheques are payable to ECAD. Once I have received your payment and confirmation, I will send you the details of the hotels.
ASHES 2008
The Ashes series will take place between 3rd July and 25th July 2008. Details of the fixtures and warm-up matches will be announced on the website shortly. The final Ashes England Squad of 16 players will be announced at the end of February 2008. There will be warm-up matches in the run up to the Ashes;

To be eligible to play in deaf international and domestic cricket, the player’s better ear must have an average reading loss of 55dB or below. An audiogram must be verified by the cricketer’s NHS local audiologist. We will be asking the 16 players announced in February to obtain their audiograms for the Ashes.
